You might recognize Crobar’s name as it also has a significant presence in the US (with four locations), and China (in Beijing). Here in BA though, Crobar is definitely one of the most popular places to be, especially on Friday nights. Crobar attracts a lot of partygoers when international DJs come to play, but it also maintains a base of sophisticated and dedicated regular fans. Almost ten years old, Niceto Club is known as the leading spot in BA where such a big diversity of styles, artists, and party people come together and intermingle. Many local and international artists have performed at Niceto, and its two dance floors have hosted a number of parties featuring anything from pop to rock, reggae to hip hop, electronica to funk, and tango to soul.

Pacha nightclubs are extremely popular worldwide, have locations on four continents in at least 16 countries (with more on the way), and across the world the name Pacha is not only recognized but also revered as the best in nightlife. So chances are, no matter where you come from, you’ve at least heard of Pacha, even if you haven’t gone. Started in Ibiza, Spain, when it opened in Buenos Aires, Pacha boosted Buenos Aires’s status in the clubbing world. Although there are many nightclubs in BA now, Pacha maintains its status as a local and international favourite.

Voodoo is a great place to hear trendy experimental music in a more relaxed atmosphere. It has a unique vibe and provides a completely different more hippied-out/rasta experience compared to other nightclubs, yet still boasts a young, hip crowd. There is a nice terrace, and tables up front to get to know people and chat. The best nights to go are Friday and Saturday.

One of the most consistently hip spots in BA, Jet is a place where you’re guaranteed to have a great time any night of the week. From thursday to Saturday Jet is always a good option-during the week it’s the perfect place to start the night off, but Saturdays are the biggest nights, as Jet remains packed well into the morning hours. The music can be described as a blend of mainstream indie and disco remixes which draws a significant crowd. Basically, the phrase that best describes Jet is “all roads lead to Rome” because no matter what they’ve done earlier, people always end up meeting at Jet even without planning it.

Every Wednesday Museum is where you want to be for their after-office parties and biggest night of the week- but don’t forget to dress to impress. The building itself is quite impressive, designed by Gustave Eiffel (as in the Eiffel tower), and it’s become one of BA’s top nightlife spots. Girls get in free before 10pm. Friday and Saturday nights are also quite popular and draw a significant number of house and techno fans.

A mid-sized club in Palermo, Kika is a relatively safe bet any night if you happen to be in Palermo and want to dance. Its smaller size actually has its benefits; even after 7 caipiroskas you might still be able to find your friends. The impressive VIP section looks down from above and tends to fill up quickly which only accentuates its exclusivity. The music can change depending on the time and night, but as Kika boasts two dancefloors, the front room DJ usually sticks with 80s and 90s hits, commercial, and pop, while the back room DJ for the most part spins electronic and house.

Alsina 940 has been completely redone recently. With a five story wall completely covered with flat screens, crystal chandeliers, 360 degree upper level, and expansive dance floor, Alsina 940 always draws a good crowd. On Wednesday from 7pm to 1030pm stop in for the after office party which is one of the city’s biggest, or if you like the after scene, be sure to go on Sunday at 3pm for one of the most renowned afters BA offers. Additionally, Alsina 940 hosts a top international DJ once a month; if your visit happens to coincide with one of these events, we definitely recommend attending.

We suggest that you go to Rumi on a Wednesday night; since it’s informally known as Rumi’s night, a lot of people turn up after cocktails and dinner, and the place ends up filled to the rafters. You’re sure to have a fantastic time, as long as you go early enough to get in without waiting in a ridiculously long queue (that means don’t show up much later than 2am- waiting too long is a major buzz kill and can ruin a night). The music is exceptional, and the Wednesday night crowd tends to be one of BA’s most glamorous.
